A concrete commitment,
on three fronts.

Our ESG strategy starts from what is already certified and verifiable — the cocoa supply chain, the ethics of labour, corporate governance — and grows year after year.

Arona, Laica headquarters: the photovoltaic roof of the factory.

Energy, environment, future.

At Laica, sustainability starts from a clear principle: producing quality while keeping the impact on the planet to a minimum. It means practical choices every day: lighter, recyclable packaging, careful use of resources, lower water and energy consumption, with no compromise on quality.

Photovoltaics, more efficient plants, LED lighting, water recovery and recycling are not “good intentions”: they are investments and measurable results. Every optimised process moves in the same direction: fewer fossil sources, more clean, responsible energy.

Environment

Cocoa from a Rainforest Alliance certified supply chain, protecting biodiversity and soils in the countries of origin. Palm oil exclusively from the RSPO sustainable chain (licence 4-1557-23-100-01). A modern, automated plant designed to cut waste and energy for every chocolate we make.

Social

With Fairtrade we support a more stable income for cocoa growers. SMETA/Sedex ethical audits verify working conditions and rights along the supply chain. And in Arona we invest in people: continuous training and a bond with the territory that has lasted since 1946.

Governance

An organisation and management model under Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, a whistleblowing channel open to anyone, international certifications renewed every year. Transparency is not a formality: it is how a family company stays credible for eighty years.

A commitment you can verify.

Every point of our strategy rests on international certifications renewed every year.
